EYE RELIEF

Eye relief is the distance that your eyes must be from the binocular eyepieces to see the whole field. An eye relief of less than 9 mm makes for uncomfortable viewing.

If you wear eyeglasses especially ones that correct for astigmatism, you will get sharper views if you keep them on when using binoculars. In this case, an extra-long eye relief of at least 15 mm and rubber eyecups that roll back are essential.
